Violence, the Old Testament and a new South Africa
In the light of the current violence in South Africa the question posed in the paper is the question on how the appearance of violence in the Old Testament should be evaluated from a theological point of view. After a brief survey of the present state of research on this theme, a theological insight into the problem of violence in the Old Testament is proposed. Finally, the relevance of this theme for a new South Africa is pointed out.
